Excellent NY-style Pizza! My extended family and I ordered 2 large "classic" style pizzas to-go recently (1 cheese, 1 pepperoni). It was the best NY-style pizza that I have had in NC. The foldable crust was crisp with great chew. The sauce was flavorful and NOT sweet. There was a good amount of cheese. We were born and raised in Manhattan (NYC) and really enjoyed the pizzas from Michaelangelo's - highly recommend! Also, the workers were very nice and friendly.
I remember. 99 cent slices and all you could eat Thursday nights. That was only about 7 or 8 years ago.
We stopped in here for lunch while visiting from out of town and enjoyed ourselves! It was during a dead period and there was only 1 server (Payton) and we received great service. She was very friendly and talked to our kids (8 and 6) about their orders. My daughters ordered the half roast beef sub and spaghetti with meatballs and garlic knots. The garlic knots weren't great, but they loved the rest of their meals. My husband and I ordered the stromboli and ham & cheese sub. Both were delicious. We ordered cannolis for dessert and they were very rich & yummy!
The servings size was great! The food was very tasty! Felt that you got good value for your food. Called in the order and it was ready in 20 minutes.
Have to share that their wings are better than anywhere else my husband has had them and now yet another favorite we add to our pick ups. I love their food. Chris was our server yesterday, and she was super responsive. I had a calzone yesterday, and I will be back for it again. I can not live without their cheese pizza reminds me of NY/NJ pizza, good chewy crust. Yum.. and go sit inside they have beer on tap. And we did leave with desserts... I wished I lived right next door.
My family and I stopped in and we got a pizza, it was pretty good. The prices were reasonable. If you're looking for something quick and easy for dinner, this is your place.
When my girlfriend and I got there was a little dead however the two girls by the counter were very attentive to what we needed as far as menus and drink orders. I ordered the manicotti and the manicotti's amazing, absolute fire, came with garlic knots as well. I also got to order the fried pickles with ranch and those are on point. If you're ever heading out toward surf City Beach I would definitely make a stop over here and hit the Michelangelo's it's definitely worth the time.
Very good NY style pizza with thin crust. Whole family loved it. Also fries and fried pickles were great. Highly recommended. We went twice during our week stay.
